Yummy Cake Time

Mmmmmm !!

My daughter had to choose a place for Work Experience
and didn't have a clue where to go.
If the children couldn't find a suitable place to go to, then
the school would choose a hospital or school for them to
do their work experience,
So DD choose Celebration Cake Shop called Sonia's in
Crosby, Merseyside...and was a great pick it turned out
to be.

It was her birthday the second day she was there and the
owner, Sonia made her a cake.

Which I thought was really sweet of her...and it was filled with
cream and jam, too!
It didn't last long with only a few crumbs left.

She had to design and make her own cake. So she based this one on Wallace and Gromits Big Bunny.
It was a super chocolate cake and
that too soon disappeared.

Here's a little baby, surrounded by roses that she modeled
while she was waiting for me to pick her up.

Definitely very talented

Little Tea Shop

Now this was an experience

After a recent trip to physio for DH , we came across a tiny teashop in Southport.

All the crockery, cultery and furniture was antique and it felt like we had travelled back in time, even the waitress was dressed like an Victiorian waitress, ringlets included

The scones were enormouse and we even had silver spoons
to place the jam on them.
It was so quaint that I couldn't resist taking a few pics.

Here We Go

So this is my very first blog entry.... and I admit, I'm a tad scared about what to write, so if I start mumbling and rambling, don't worry...that's just me :-)
